Students earn credits that count toward both a college degree or certificate and a high school diploma. Check the links in this web section for dual enrollment details for public and private or home school students.
Dual Enrollment Eligibility Criteria高清一区二区不卡视频_67194成L人在线观看线路: The eligibility criteria for dual enrollment is based on the student’s program of study and selected dual enrollment option. Students pursuing a university-transfer Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree, a technical Associate in Science (A.S.) degree or a career preparation College Credit Certificate (CCC) must present college-ready reading and writing scores from the ACT, SAT or PERT. In addition, associate degree-seeking students must have an unweighted high school grade point average (GPA) of 3.0; certificate-seeking students must have a 2.5 high school GPA.
Part-time dual enrollment students may enroll in up to three college courses or 11 credit hours each fall and spring term and one course during the summer. Full-time Dual Enrollment enables qualified seniors to attend EFSC as full-time students in the spring term of 12th grade. Students are no longer eligible for dual enrollment upon completion of the spring term of the 12th高清一区二区不卡视频_67194成L人在线观看线路 grade.
Early Admission is a form of dual enrollment that enables qualified 12th grade Brevard County high school students to spend their senior year enrolled full-time at Eastern Florida State College beginning in the fall term of their senior year. Students accepted for Early Admission take all their classes at EFSC and must register for at least 4 classes totaling 12 or more credit hours. Credits count toward a high school diploma and an associate degree.
To maintain dual enrollment eligibility, students must continually meet the overall high school GPA requirement for the selected program of study and earn a college GPA of at least 2.0 each term at EFSC. Students whose college term GPA is below 2.0 will be placed on dual enrollment probation and allowed one term to improve their academic performance. Students are also expected to exhibit responsible and appropriate behavior while at the College and comply with high school and college policies.
The Early College Credit Option (ECCO) gives dual enrolled students the opportunity to:
- Register for additional courses beyond the number allowed through dual enrollment.
- Take college courses not available through dual enrollment, such as applied music classes or one credit service learning classes.
- Repeat a course for grade forgiveness on the student’s college record.
高清一区二区不卡视频_67194成L人在线观看线路Credits earned using the Early College Credit Option (ECCO) will count toward the student’s associate degree or college credit certificate and the grade will be posted on the student’s college transcript. The credits will NOT count toward high school graduation and the grade earned in the course will not be posted on the student’s high school transcript. Students taking a class through ECCO are responsible for all tuition and fees charged to regularly enrolled students and for all instructional materials.
